The mission of the committee (ADA60) is to enhance the understanding, acceptance, and practice of public involvement as an art and science in transportation planning and project development activities by fostering research, identifying best practices, promoting use of new technologies, promulgating standards, and upgrading public involvement skills of transportation professionals.
Message from the Chair
Welcome! Public involvement has evolved in transportation from being a requirement that agencies needed to comply with to being an integral means of providing quality in transportation planning, design and implementation.
The Transportation Research Board Committee on Public Involvement in Transportation strives to provide meaningful opportunities for information development and exchange on public involvement for transportation agencies and other practitioners. This website is a critical tool for us to provide the transportation community with vital information on research, conferences, publications, training, tools and techniques related to public involvement in transportation.
We invite you to cruise our pages and give us your feedback. Like the good public involvement professionals we are, we value your input.
